Is it normal to fear

the glue that holds humanity?

Incapable to feel

what makes the heart beat,

but also makes it freeze.

What makes time stop,

yet allows it to fly.

What turns upwards,

the corners of ones lips,

but also sends salty tears

down flushed

yet pale cheeks.

Is it a scam,

engrained by fairy-tales?

Or is there truth?

in such a strong feeling.

Or do I have a reason to doubt

the glue that holds humanity.
