by Westport, CT's own Gillian Libby!

This book will have you “LOL” right alongside Millie on her adventures throughout Peacock Bay, California.
Millie Ward is a young and feisty woman stuck in the corporate office of the hustle and bustle of a post-pandemic New York City. After surviving the shut-down while still employed, she is devastated when she is laid off from her marketing job. Her newly found unemployment, burning agony at the thought of living with her parents in Nantucket, combined with her struggles with ADHD makes Millie feel like a complete train-wreck. But when she decided to visit her best friend and Instagram Influencer Quincy Santana in Peacock Bay, California, she regains hope of turning her life into the one that she always dreamed she would have. Joining Quincy, and her incredulously hot older brother, Pete, who Millie has lusted over since college, could be the big break Millie didn’t know she needed.
Out of all the books I have read over the summer, Millie Ward is by far my favorite character. Gillian Libby does a phenomenal job developing this character and making it seem like you are in her mind with her. Books always make me emotional, there is no doubt about that, but this debut had me literally laughing to tears in my bedroom. Quirky, funny, and unashamedly real, Libby more than successfully immerses you in Peacock bay with Millie, as if you are just another thought inside her head.
I began reading on a Sunday night and became so invested so fast that I brought the dang book to the gym with me and read on the treadmill. Four Ways to Wear a Dress is a relevant, humorous, and spicy beach read that you will not want to put down.
PSA: Gillian Libby is bringing us three more books in this series! 😀
